Solitary, globose, to 4.5 cm. diameter, tubercles short cylindric, 8 mm long, 4 mm. thick, axils naked.
Central spines 4, very pale yellow, the lowest hooked, to 14 mm. long, stout acicular, the remainder straight,
as long as the radials, glabrous. Radial spines about 2.0, 8-10 mm. long, very thin acicular, white, glabrous.
Flowers 15 ram. long, outer segments greenish cream with reddish midstripe above, inner greenish-cream to cream
with soft-green mid-stripe, stigmas whitish. Fruit small, clavate, red; seeds black pitted.
MEXICO: In the region where the boundaries of Zacatecas, Durango and Coahuila intersect.
Collected by J, Moeller (Santa Clara, near San Miguel de Mezquital, Zacatecas) and imported to the firm of Haage about 1927.
Type presumably not preserved.

Probably not distinguishable from M, seideliana, q.v.
